In conversation with Principal Fellow Sam Wylie, MBS alumnus, Warwick Bray, will give his perspectives on the evolution of the telco sector, including the strategies needed to drive evolution, the corporate culture needed to succeed in a disruptive environment, the optimal financial policies and comparisons between the telco sector and other disrupted industries.

Warwick Bray
Chief Financial Officer
Warwick Bray is an experienced senior executive who has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 25 years across Europe, Asia and Australia.

Warwick became Telstra’s Chief Financial Officer on 1 May, 2015 after serving as Telstra’s Group Managing Director of Products. He has also led company’s Corporate Strategy and Mobile product functions.

Prior to joining Telstra, Warwick was a partner at McKinsey in London and a Managing Director for global telecommunications equity research at JPMorgan and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein London where he was voted the top ranked telecommunications analyst in Europe by fund managers in 2001.

Warwick is currently a board member of Foxtel. Prior to commencing his CFO role, he served as a Director of CSL (Telstra’s former Hong Kong mobile subsidiary) and a member of the global Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA) strategy committee. Warwick was also the Chairman of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association from 2012-2014.

Outside of Telstra, Warwick is a trustee of the Melbourne Arts Centre.
Warwick holds a BSc (Hons) First Class and an MBA from the University of Melbourne (Melbourne Business School).
